Met Fresh Market: a review 🛒
Replacing a rundown Walgreens with a fully-stocked, high-quality neighborhood grocery store feels like a tall task, but it’s safe to say the folks at Met Fresh Market have done just that.
We took a spin around the new grocer at the corner of Broad and Snyder this week, and there is no doubt about the verdict — it’s exactly what the neighborhood, and this beleaguered corner, so badly needs.
We’ll start out with the cleanliness. We specifically waited several days after the grand opening to check out the store, and we expected it to be clean simply because it’s brand new. But this place was spotless, bright, and the stock was rotated to perfection even as a 5 p.m. rush of shoppers picked over the contents.
When you enter, you’re first greeted by a small-but-appealing produce section, and it’s clear they are using the square footage well. It can be a little cramped trying to poke around this area when it’s busy, but the quality of the fresh produce puts other neighborhood grocers (ahem, Acme) to shame.
