Community input wanted for a bad intersection in Queen Village, and a martini with salad dressing in it has take over parts of the Internet.

⚠️ Fixing one of South Philly’s worst intersections

Thanks to our weird diagonal avenues and our ancient, cobbled-together street grid, South Philadelphia has plenty of weird and confusing intersections.

The city has done a good job of fixing what I previously thought was the worst — right by the Penrose Diner, where Moyamensing, Penrose, Packer, and 20th Streets all come together. It’s now a nice new circle, with bike lanes and a much slower and safer traffic pattern.

And so that leaves another major headache — one that seems to baffle every car that arrives in its crosshairs.
