New home found for ‘Stickmen’ 👬
The prolific ‘Stickman” sculptures on the South Street Bridge over I-95 have been in place since the mid-1990s, when the bridge was first built.
As we’ve covered in recent weeks, that bridge is about to come down — to be replaced with a dramatic new pedestrian span as part of the major I-95 Cap project along the Central Delaware waterfront.
Luckily for us, the Stickmen will have a gorgeous new home as part of the new project. Developers went in front of the city’s Art Commission for approval of that new home this week, and with it we learned some further details about the east end of this new connection from South Philly to Penn’s Landing.
